How to use the Days Between Dates
- Choose a start date and an end date.
- Tick “Include end date” if both days should be counted.
- See the total days, weeks, months and working days.
How the difference is counted
By default the calculator counts the days from the start date up to the end date, which is how durations, notice periods and interest days are normally calculated. Ticking “include end date” adds one day, which is useful for counting days of an event or a leave period.
Working days
Working days counts Monday to Friday only. Public holidays differ by country and region, so they are not subtracted — remove them manually if needed.
Frequently asked questions
Are leap years handled?
Yes. Dates are counted on the real calendar, so 29 February is included in leap years.
What if the end date is before the start date?
The calculator swaps them and shows the positive difference.
